The President General of Oleh kingdom, Chief Believe Alakri and residents of Oleh ward 1 and 2, have commended Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Governor of Delta State and Sir Itiako Ikpokpo, Chairman Isoko South local government area, for the Delta State palliatives received and distributed at the Civic Centre Oleh, Isoko South local government area of the state.

Chief Alakri stated that, the food items received at ward 1 and 2 in Oleh kingdom were 80 bags of rice, 40 jumbo bags of beans and 122 cartons of Indomee noodles, adding that the palliatives were distributed peacefully to the indigents and aged people of the area.

The President General also commended the local government distribution committee led by Sir Itiako Ikpokpo for equitable and peaceful distribution of the state palliatives to the 11 wards of Isoko South local government area at the council, noting that Hon. Kenneth Ogba, Hon. Ferguson Onwo, Hon. Churchill Amagada, Hon. (Mrs.) Catherine Ilolo, Bishop John .U. Aruakpor and Hon. (Mrs.) Beatrice Igogo Oyibotha monitored the distribution accordingly.

He said, the vulnerable, aged and artisans from Oleh ward 1 and 2, including the non indigenes (Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo) in Oleh kingdom received the food items which according to him will alleviate the suffering occasioned by COVID 19 pandemic lockdown in the area.

Alakri appealed to the state governor for more palliatives, stressing that Oleh residents obeyed the stay at home order just as the roads and streets has been empty in compliance to the directive by Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa. He maintained that the proactive steps by Okowa have curtailed the pandemic from spreading in Delta State.

Recall, that Isoko South chairman, Sir Itiako Ikpokpo, received and distributed Delta State palliatives to 11 wards of the local government area, from Governor Okowa food bank to cushion the effects of COVID 19 pandemic lockdown in the area over the weekend.
