Prioritize Safety During Easter, Acting CG Federal Fire Service Urges Nigerians

The Acting Controller General of the Federal Fire Service, Dr. Samson Karebo has called on Nigerians to prioritize safety during the ongoing Easter celebration.

The Acting CGF made the call while wishing Christians a peaceful Easter, which is a celebration in commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He tasked them to ensure diligent safety precautions while celebrating.

Karebo, while acknowledging that there will be a lot of cooking related activities during the easter celebration, asked that all cooking precautionary measures such as not leaving cooking unattended, keeping matches away from children, keeping the gas cylinder outside the kitchen etc must be complied with to avoid fire incidences.

The Acting Controller General, said he has directed all commands to be on red alert so as to ensure quick response to emergencies during the easter celebration.

He however called on citizens to make sure they have the emergency numbers handy and call the Service in a case of fire or any emergency.
