By Gertrude Onyekachukwu-Uteh and Laura Ese Laura Oghene:

David Eyaguobor is the CEO of Daux Electrical Works & Parts. He enrolled and trained in Electrical Installation and Repairs in the 2017/2018 STEP cycle. He hails from Okpe LGA and is an SSCE holder. He is knowledgeable in electrical works having worked with the defunct NEPA. He believes that honesty and integrity are the keys to business success. He shares his experience after four years in business.

“I have been in the electrical field since 1996. STEP broadened my knowledge about electrical works. The business is competitive. I have my strategy. I give three quotations to my clients, offer professional advice and allow them to make their choice.

“I have lost count of electrical installation jobs, electrical poles, transformers I have handled. I am planning to diversify into sales of electrical poles. I have diversified into agriculture- poultry, snailery and cassava farming.

“Honesty and integrity in business are paramount. My clients trust me. I care for my family from the proceeds. My children’s education is my priority for now.”
