Henry Okonicha, a Public Administration graduate, hails from Oshimili North LGA. He enrolled and trained in Electrical Installation and maintenance in the 2015/2016 STEP cycle. He is the CEO of God First Cable Network, a fast-growing electrical cable shop in Asaba.

He deals in electrical materials, cables, CCTV cameras, GOVT, DSTV etc. That he enjoys good patronage and is well grounded in the business are evident in the caliber of his clientele. Six years on, Henry shares his success story.

“I had little knowledge about electrical installation before I enrolled in STEP. I was already installing DSTV then. So, I needed knowledge in electrical works to do better.

“STEP opened my eyes to more opportunities in electrical works. My clientele base is high. I carry out electrical works for some top-notch hotels in Asaba. I have two shops, one in Asaba and the other at Akwukwu-Igbo. I network with four STEPreneurs to execute my contracts.

“I have diversified into sales of electrical materials, CCTV cameras and installation, DSTV, GOTV, electrical cables. Meanwhile I have trained 15 persons; I have a staff. I am now married with children; I have bought a land and I am doing well.”
