Taju Sumonu Isichei Pledges Support For Delta Children Xmas Party

06122012559The Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Inter-Party Relations and former governorship candidate, Hon. Taju Sumonu Isichei has joined the league of prominent Deltans who have promised to support the maiden edition of the Delta Children Christmas Party scheduled to hold in Asaba, the state capital.

Hon. Taju Sumonu Isichei made the pledge when a delegation of the organisers, Delta Broadcasting Service (DBS) and Zzaakkuuss Music & Entertainment and its committee members visited him in his office in Asaba.

Hon. Taju Sumonu Isichei, who commended the team for putting in place the Delta Children Christmas Party, assured that he would contribute his quota to encouraging children in the yuletide.

Chairman of the Delta Children Christmas Party and Chief Executive Officer of Zzakkuuss Music & Entertainment, Ngozi Azaka, lauded the efforts of Hon. Taju Sumonu Isichei in improving the lot of political parties in the state as well as enthrenching a new order in their political activities.

He noted that his entrant into the position of Special Adviser to Delta State Governor on Inter-Party Relations has also brought about harmony and understanding among the political parties.

The committee is made up of Ngozi Azaka, as Chairman, Ngozi Odiwe (Secretary), Ifeanyi Nwador (Project Director), Dew Wilson, Albert Ograka and Onome Tano in charge of publicity and Ufoma Okotie, in charge of welfare.

Recall that Hon. Taju Sumonu Isichei recently celebrated his 40th Birthday Anniversary on November 15, 2012 at Nelrose Hotels, Asaba, which was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.

The Special Adviser on Inter-Party Relations, who is popularly called “Ikuku”, is an acknowledged recipient of numerous merit awards of excellence due to his diligence, hardwork and philanthropy.

Taju contested the governorship election in Delta state under the auspices of the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) in 2007, where he emerged 3rd in the governorship poll. He was appointed state chairman of the party in 2009 and later elected chairman of all registered political parties in Delta state before re-contesting for the position of governor in the  April, 2011 governorship election.

He was however appointed Special Adviser on Inter-Party Relations by Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan on August 9, 2011 to oversee the affairs of all the political parties as a result of his pedigree in human and organizational management.
