President Goodluck Jonathan, mother and wife, Dame Patience Jonathan have voted in Otuoke, Bayelsa State with the president saying that the elections so far have been peaceful and predicted that the 2015 elections will even be more peaceful. He called on Nigerians to continue to embrace peace and restated his resolve to conduct a free and fair election.
On her part, the First Lady, Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan called on youths to avoid acts of violence. The President cast his ballot at 1.02Pm.
Also, Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has said that he was optimistic that he will emerge victorious in the governorship elections.
“I am very sure of victory no doubt about that.”
Speaking shortly after casting his vote by 12.35pm, at Abigborodo Ward 6 Unit 1, he said that victory has been assured for him already by God Almighty.
Uduaghan commended INEC for improved performance and promised Deltans of better and more dividends of democracy
