In adherence to the state Government’s commitment to delivering high quality infrastructure, the Director General of Delta state capital Territory Development Agency, Patrick Ukah yesterday 6th of March 2925 conducted inspections of various road projects in the capital Territory and demand that the contractors handling the road work should set up a work plan according to specifications.

The purpose of the inspection is to assess the progress, quality, and alignment of these projects with the Government infrastructural polices.

During the inspection, key locations visited included
. The Ogbeogonogo market water storm project down to Ogbeilo through ugbeke square.
.The Okonweze street project off Ezeni Avenue
.The construction of Odozi Obodo/Aninta/Anenta street off Ezeni Avenue; and
.The rehabilitation of Jarret street and construction of part of Kano street/ Okocha street, off Dennis osadebay way Asaba.

Ukah commended the Engineers for their unwavering dedication and adherence to high standards. He encouraged the team to maintain their momentum to ensure timely completion of these projects.

While addressing the press Ukah says “To the level of work done so far that I’ve seen, I can Indeed say there is great progress with the on going projects of which the rehabilitation of jarret street and construction of the part of Kano street/Okocha street, is 95% ready for commissioning.
Okonweze street off Ezeni Avenue will be ready before the ending of march but Odozi obodo might probably stress till April but so far he is happy with the nature of the job”

“Through the technical inspection, we have identified some gaps and funding challenges which are addressed. I commend the contractors for a good job and urged them to work towards timely completion of the projects.” he said.

Ukah, however, decried the indiscriminate release of water by resident and hotel owners on some section of the Odozi obodo road and drainage noting that the trend was inimical to sustainable road infrastructure development.

” It is disappointing to see some people are destroying the roads and drainage in the name of businesses, they should observe the right way.

“The government will not condone the act and it must stop, he said.
