Warri Wolves in the evening of Saturday, February 09, 2013, at the Warri Township Stadium forced visiting Bayelsa United to a 1-1  draw in one of the friendly matches arranged for the Warri based team to keep them in shape for the coming season.

According to the Media Officer of Warri Wolves, Moses Etu, both sides started the match on a cautious note until the 23rd minute when a penalty was awarded to Warri Wolves.

However, Musa Najere had a fine match with the Fine Eagles played it into the waiting hands of Gambo Gideon in goal for Bayelsa United.

With Coach Ladan Bosso ditching instructions to the players from the sideline, the Yenogoa boys in the 27th minute got their only goal through Akpose Martins when Tejiri Rhiogbere in Goal for Warri Wolves failed to connect a pull out.

However, , the Warri boys redeemed their image when hard fighting Ike ThankGod who was introduced in the second half found his way into the eighting yard box and made a world class pass to Bright Obada who wasted no time in firing into an empty net.

Attempts by both sides to increase the tally ended in vain until the final whistle.

On Monday, February 11, 2013 at the same venue, Warri Wolves will engage Sunshine Stars and the players have all vowed to take their pound of flesh having lost to the Akure based team last season at the same venue.
