Warri Wolves FC has received a N50 million (Fifty Million Naira) cheque from an Abuja based consultancy firm, U.L.O. Consultants with a further promise to sponsor the Club on a Europe tour if they finish among the first three in the league.

Making the presentation in Abuja on Thursday, April 18, 2013, the Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Ogbuefi Luke Uche Okpuno said he decided to renew the sponsorship because of the love he has for the game and urged the club to do their best in the league.

According to Okpuno, Warri Wolves is a top club that should be supported by all, saying that before the end of the league, if the club performs well, he will give them a bus and sponsor them to Europe.

He however call on corporate organisations, individuals and other relevant government agencies to endeavour to sponsor football clubs and other sports activities in the country.

I am not regretting anything because the Club is a top one worth associating with and I am glad I am doing this. If the Club does well as time goes on, I shall give you a Bus and if you finish among the first three in the League, I shall sponsor you on a tour of Europe. I want to call on all corporate organizations to help in sponsoring the Clubs in the Country. When I heard that Heartland FC could not honour their away match, I was sad but I know that it cannot happen to Warri Wolves”.

The presentation which has in attendance the Executive Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Mr Pinnick Amaju, The Chairman of League Management Company, Hon. Nduka Irabor, The Chief Executive Officer of the League Management Company, Mallam Sanusi Abubakar and a host of others was described by Amaju as the best thing to have happened to the Warri based Club.

Amaju thanked the company for the kind gesture and promised to judiciously use the funds to transform the club to what is expected of it.
