Yahoo Killers: DELSU VC, Isoko Development Union Women Wing Commiserate With Family Of Elozino Ogege

Delta State University Vice Chancellor, Professor Victor Peretemode and the women wing of Isoko Development Union led by Chief Mrs. Felicia Suleiman has commiserated with the family of Miss Elozino Joshuana Ogege, a 300 level student of Delta State University (DELSU), killed for alleged ritual purpose by yahoo yahoo boys, at Irri Isoko South local government area of Delta State.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation sent by the Vice Chancellor from Abraka and Oleh campus of the institution, Mr Justice Egbare, leader of the delegation and bursar of Delta State University said, the school management is deeply saddened over the gruesome killing and unexpected demise of Miss Elozino Ogege.

He noted that the school management will assist the police and other organization to ensure true justice for Elozino, assuring that DELSU will not close its eyes and allow this dastardly act happen again. Egbare commended various organizations that have taken steps to bring the perpetrators to book even as he urged them to support Delsu management to make the institution free from criminals.

Also speaking Rev. Nelson Edewor, Director Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, DELSU, in a short exultation taken from John 4 : 4 and Psalm 71 : 20, said only God knows why it happened. He prayed to God to care for the mother and other children of Elozino Ogege.

The clergyman commended Isoko women group that sympathized with the mother of Elozino, especially the women wing of Isoko Development Union by its president, Chief Mrs. Felicia Suleiman, Rev Mrs. Roseline Ebegbare and Rev. Michael Ebegbare of Christ Redeem-nary Assembly Irri and other family members.

The Isoko Advance Network represented by hon. Dickson Ebegbare urged the management of Delsu to put policies in place to guard against future occurrence, adding that paying a visit to the commissioner of police and the state governor for policies in wiping out the yahoo boys menace around the institution, will make a way forward.

Responding on behalf of Elozino Ogege family, Chief Mrs. Felicia Suleiman and Rev. Mrs. Ebegbare commended the school management for the condolence visit, noting that Delsu has more to do in wiping out yahoo business from the school environment.

Chief Mrs. Suleiman noted that, Elozino was a first class student of mass communication in the institution and expectantly, accommodation should have been secured for students and not allow them look for accommodation outside the school. She noted that Elozino died in the hands of the school security men, emphasizing that DELSU management be more proactive and care for students under their domain.

The provost of Oleh campus, Professor Stephen Emesairue led a prayer section for parents, students and the society to be free from evil and the fear of the unknown. He stated that about 70 % of accommodations provided for the students are not occupied; stressing that parent should monitor their children on where they stay and way of life.
