Members of Isoko South legislative arm on Wednesday honoured the Chief Executive Officer of Dantinajo Gold Resort Limited Oleh, Isoko South local government area, Engr. Daniel Elozino Omoyibo, with award of recognition as a philanthropist in human capital development.

The award ceremony which held at the legislative chamber of Isoko South Council area, started with the day’s proceedings by the councillors and preceded with the citation of Engr. Daniel Omoyibo. The citation was read by the clerk of the house, Barr. Mrs. Ethel Eghaire.

The councilors described Ambassador Omoyibo as a philanthropist that cares “more of others less of self” with proven integrity, famous human rights crusader, a man of virtue with attributes of honesty.

The honorable members also eulogized Omoyibo as a man with the passion to serve, supports the society and the less privileged, adding that he is a successful business man that began his carrier at Shell Petroleum Development Company as a contractor.

The councillors maintained that, as a philanthropist, Omoyibo built an ultra – modern hall for Iyede people, at Iyede Street, Isoko South local government area, bought over 86 vehicles for staff members and others. Omoyibo donated to the growth of Isoko Development Union, trained 50 persons under various entrepreneurial skills and many other humanitarian achievements.

Having read his antecedent of human capital development at the floor of the house, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Odoh Andrew Oghenekaro, called for a motion for the award and was moved by Hon. Samson Ofremu, Councillor representing Araya Ward 01 and chairman house committee on evironment. The motion was supported by Hon. Igbudu Wesley Erowo, Councillor for Oleh Ward 13 and chairman house committee on works and project monitoring.

The motion was adopted by the members just as the clerk decorated Ambassador Daniel Omoyibo with the award tag and the speaker presented the award which was received with loud ovation from friends and family members of the recipient.

Responding, Ambassador Omoyibo commended the councilors for the award and donated N5 million Naira for drugs to equip the health centre’s of Isoko South local government area. Omoyibo also donated another N1 million for the councilors for the award.

The highlight of the award ceremony was the presentation of the cheque by Ambassador Daniel Omoyibo and was received by the Secretary to Isoko South council, Mr. Denis Kola Obrogo and Hon. Odoh Andrew, Speaker of the legislative arm respectively.

In attendance was Hon. Kenneth Ogba, member Delta State House of Assembly, Isoko South constituency 1, Hon. Isaiah Ewuku, S.A. to Governor Okowa on Special Duties, Mr. Denis Obrogo, Secretary to Isoko South local government area, some council staff, friends and family members of Ambassador Daniel Omoyibo among others.
