IDEH, OBIEKEA, OTHERS HAIL OBOREVWORI FOR APPOINTMENT OF UKAH, DG OF DSCTDA

The imediate past Senior Special Assistant (SSA,) in the administration of the former Governor of Delta State in the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Amb. Sir Felix Ideh, has lauded Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the appointment of Chief Patrick Ukah as the Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency.

Amb. Sir Ideh made the commendaton in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.

He called on PDP leaders and party faithfuls to interface more with the residents in Okpanam ahead of the 2024 Local Government election, reminding them that there should be more of Chief Patrick Ukahs in Okpanam to sustain the dominance of the party in winning elections in the area.

Amb. Sir Ideh ,who stated that Okpanam community was blessed with so much material and human resources, noted that the DG of DSCTDA have empowered so many residents in Okpanam as a result of his avowed commitment towards the upliftment of the community.

While saying that it was a thing of joy for Ukah’s recognition and for the appointment as the DG of DSCTDA, Amb.Sir Ideh noted he would perform creditably well and make a difference as the Director-General of the agency.

The ward 9 Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Augustine Obiekea, who congratulated Chief Ukah , said that his appointment was well deserved and described him as a work encyclopaedia and a goal getter.

Engr. Obiekea said that the DG of DSCTDA always gave good account of himself in the various appointments he had held in the previous administration of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and expressed optimism that he would bring his wealth of experience to bear in his new appointment.

In their separate remarks, a councillor in Okpanam representing ward 13, Hon. Barry Ezuchebuogelenya Okonkwo, Arc. Comr. Ikem Anyasi , the Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Youths Development, Hon. Kelvin Onyeaju and the Director of Planing and Environmental Sector in the State Ministry of Economic Planning, Deconess Mrs. Fidelia Atogun, who is a childhood friend and classmate of Chief Ukah’s wife , Chief Mrs. Perpetua Ukah, said that the appointment of Chief Patrick Ukah was a testament to the fact that there was a reward for hardwork.

Speaking further, Arc. Comr. Anyasi ,who is the Legislative aide to the member representing Oshimili North in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwa , described Chief Ukah as his political father and mentor.

Hon. Okonkwo and Hon. Onyeaju stated that Chief Ukah would surpass the expectations of residents in the capital territory and Deltans in general, adding that he would ensure that the objective of the agency is effectively achieved.

They commended the Governor, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing Chief Ukah as Director-General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, stressing that his appointment was well deserved.

Hon. Onyeaju specifically used the occasion to advise youths in the area to be up and doing to give their lives a meaning and contribute their quota towards the development of the community.
