Isoko Traditional Ruler’s Council over the weekend conferred the title of “Udu of Isoko kingdom” on Dr. Bashorun Askia Ogieh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DESOPADEC to honor and celebrate his recent appointment by the Delta State governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa at Oleh, Isoko South local government area of the state.

HRM Anthony Williams Ovrawah Omogha 1, the Odiologbo of Oleh kingdom and chairman Isoko traditional ruler’s council, while conferring the title on Bashorun Askia Ogieh said, the honor is testimony of God’s goodness and expression of happiness by the royal fathers of Isoko kingdom.

The monarch maintained that Bashorun Askia has been a true democrat and faithful illustrious son of Isoko Nation and deserves accolade even as lots of infrastructural development in Isoko ethnic nationality were attracted through him. He prayed that the honor brings other higher positions in his political dispensation.

The monarch also prayed for good health, long life and prosperity. He declared God’s light, favor, protection over Bashorun Askia, saying “It shall be well with you and family, God bless you in all your endeavors”.

Responding, Dr. Bashorun Askia thanked Isoko traditional ruler’s council for the honor. “I was not expecting this royal father’s blessing and honor and I appreciate all Isoko royal majesty’s for this privilege and confidence reposed in me” he said,

He assured of more commitment to the development of Isoko Nation just as he pledged his loyalty to the royal fathers. Bashorun Askia calls for prayers and support, noting that Isoko Nation should remain peaceful to attract more infrastructural development.

The DESOPADEC boss posited that Isoko will be re positioned for greater height through the government of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa. He urged Isoko nation to remain united even as he assured of equitable development of all Isoko communities.
