SAPELE MAIN BRANCH OF AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION COMMEND OMOZEGHIAN LED ADMINISTRATION

The Executive Committee of Sapele Main Branch of Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association, ably led by Hon. Barr. Odiete Arierhie has commended the National Executive Council of Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association ably led by Dr. Clifford Imade Omozeghian Esq. for ensuring a drastic reduction in school fees payable by new students of the Ambrose Alli University.

The Chairman of the Branch, who was part of the eleven man Committee set up by the National Executive Council to interface with the Special Intervention Team and the Management of the University to see how the increased school fees can be reduced, was very elated after the meeting.

The Chairman who spoke to our correspondent in the early hours of Sunday, July 9, 2023, in Sapele stated that the leadership of the Association at the National level is very focused in ensuring that our alma-mater is well positioned to adequately compete among other universities.

He said further that the commitment of the President, Dr. Clifford Imade Omozeghian Esq and members of his executive committee in ensuring peace and tranquillity in the university is unprecedented.

The Branch Chairman also used the opportunity to thank His Excellency, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, members of the SIT and the Management of the University for listening to the appeal made by the Alumni Association that led to the drastic reduction in the school fees.

According to the Chairman, from the inter play, it is obvious that government meant well for the university and therefore advised that for the purpose of making Ambrose Alli University a centre of excellence as envisaged by government, the State government should ensure adequate funding of the university. Management, on the other hand, must ensure transparent and judicious utilization of the resources at their disposable.

He went further to advise the Dr. Omozeghian led administration to continue to partner with the State Government to ensure peace and progress in the university and appealed to all the stakeholders in the university, including ASUU, SUG, NASU, SSANU and the entire university community to be on the same page in ensuring that the vision of the founding fathers of the University is not only sustained but improved upon.
