UKAH’S APPOINTMENT, ROUND PEG IN ROUND HOLE—ONWUKA

The immediate past Special Assistant (SA) to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Teachers Professional Development Centre , Dr. Anthony Onwuka has described the appointment of Chief Patrick Ukah as the Director-General of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency as a round peg in a round hole and lauded Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for the gesture.

Dr. Onwuka stated this in his country home Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area while fielding questions from newsmen.

He said that as a strategist and uncommon administrator, Chief Ukah would make meaningful impacts in the DSCTDA and called for synergy among stakeholders to ensure that the vision behind the establishment of the agency was effectively achieved.

Dr. Onwuka, who hails from Okpanam, stated that under the administration of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Chief Ukah attracted several projects to Okpanam such as road construction, installation of street lights in strategic locations in the community and empowerment through political appointments for a number of Okpanam indigenes.

He noted Okpanam had been transformed into a modern city like Asaba as a result of being part of the state capital territory, adding that over 80 percent of civil servants lived in Okpanam community.

Dr. Onwuka further described Chief Ukah as a result oriented and very proactive individual, stressing that he would under his watch, the state capital territory development agency would record more success in terms of cleanliness.

Dr. Onwuka reiterated his commitment and support to Oborevwori led administration, saying that the administration would bring more development to the state.
