Nigeria may soon record zero importation of lubricants, as local production is coming on high and big.
This was stated by the Director General, Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON, Mr. Osita Aboloma when he led his team to carry out on the spot assessment of Dozzy Group of Companies at the Niger Bridge Industrial Layout, Onitsha.
While addressing the press after inspecting all the product sections and laboratory of the company, Mr. Aboloma noted that Dozzy Group is its most formidable partner in Eastern Nigeria especially in Onitsha for over thirty years and have been leading in quality assurance.
The SON DG commended Dozzy company on how it automate its products to reduce human interference and advised them to adopt Integrated Management System used by most Multinationals and continue to improve and certify all their products and services for people to have confidence in them and to enable their products sell beyond the shores of Nigeria.
He urged Dozzy Group to continue to be pacesetter for other smaller companies, pointing out that on the spot assessment and engagement with major stakeholders are part of the measures they adopt in ensuring that Nigerians are given quality products.
Mr. Aboloma stated that Nigeria’s border closure has aided their work because it helps them to keep check and balances of goods in the country and has prevented the country from being a dumping ground for all sorts of goods.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Of Dozzy Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel Chukwudozie stressed that standard is their priority which according to him will make their products sell in Nigeria and entire world and thanked SON for their commendation and advice noting that their work help to project the image of Nigeria to the outside world.
Dr. Chukwudozie appealed to the Federal Government to address the issue of Foreign Exchange, Power and Security as they are vital to companies operations.
