Oshimili South PDP Ward Seven Lauds Okonji’s Leadership Style

Chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ward 7 (Umuagu) in   Oshimili South Local Government Area, Delta State, have lauded the Chairman of the party in the area, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, for providing good leadership for the party.

They said that his leadership has attracted several gains for PDP including electoral victories and increase in population of party faithful.

The people spoke during the visit of the Local Government party executives led by Ogbueshi Okonji, to the ward as part of the ongoing ward visits by the leadership of the party.

The Chairman of Ward 7, Comrade Michael Odiatu, while receiving Ogbueshi Okonji, said that the exemplary role he had played in the Local Government was commendable and justifies his call for a second term as party chairman. 

Odiatu also applauded other party leaders for their support to the ward, promising to mobilize the ward to return the local government party executives for a second term.

In their remarks, the Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Ogbueshi Cassidy Iloba and former Onoi of Ahaba, Eso Yaya, said they were impressed by the development of the party in the local government area since the assumption of Ogbueshi Okonji, noting that several opposition members had decamped to the PDP.

Others, who spoke, including Obi Okunwa Odiaka, Ogbueshi Akaeze Ibonye and Ogbueshi Charles Halim, declared that Ogbueshi Okonji was a focused and accommodating leader, who had piloted the affairs of the party to greater heights.

Speaking with the Press, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Empowerment, Mr. Darlington Ijeh, said that Okonji was disposed to rendering selfless services to the party and people of Oshimili South and commended the people of Ward Seven for having confident in him.

Addressing the gathering, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji thanked the people of Ward seven for their contributions to the achievements of the party, assuring them that Governor Okowa will complete all ongoing projects in the local government area, in addition to embarking on new ones.

He prayed for the governor and his cabinet members, contending that God had used Senator Okowa to touch the lives of the people. 

Highlight of the visit was the endorsement of Ogbueshi Okonji for a second term as party chairman by the leadership and chieftains of PDP Ward Seven.
