AAU ALUMNI PRESIDENT, DR. CLIFFORD IMADE OMOZEGHIAN ESQ GIVES CASH SUPPORT TO MEMBERS

It was an eventful and fun-packed three days as the Sapele Main Branch of Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association had their end-of-year activities in grand style. The three-day end-of-year activities started Friday, January 5, 2024, with a courtesy visit to the Sapele Area Commander at the Sapele Area Command of the Nigerian Police Force in Sapele.

The Area Commander, ACP Innocent Umerie who was ably represented by the Divisional Police Officer CSP Harrison Nwabuisi, received the branch members with enthusiasm and accorded them a very warm reception.

The Worldwide President informed his host that the visit was to appreciate the command in keeping Sapele peaceful as well as to urge them to do more in terms of security in Sapele and its environs. In his words; the President charged them to deploy a community policing strategy to ensure they fetch out the bad eggs from amongst the people of Sapele. On his part, the Chairman of the Branch, Hon. Barr. Odiete Arierhie added that the Sapele Main Branch of the Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association is ready to collaborate with the command to ensure that Sapele is peaceful.

The high point of the visit was the presentation of a standing fan and some security touch lights to the command. This was followed by a group photograph. Those present during the visit are Chief Godwin Asudo, High Comr. Dr. Egbesu Samson, Engr. Apete Bright, Ifeoma Nwanfoh, Hon. Johnson Idolor Akpolome, amongst others.

The second day of the celebration witnessed the dinner party, which was held at La Peniel Castle Hotel and Suite. Members arrived with their spouses, friends, and well-wishers to a well-decorated red carpet where photographs were taken amidst the exchange of pleasantries.

The Worldwide President, Dr. Clifford Imade Omozeghian Esq arrived at the venue in the company of the Worldwide Legal Adviser, Barr. Presley Okojie and the Acting Chairman of Warri Branch, Barr. John Bello. They were welcomed by the chairman and members of the branch.
In his welcome address, the Branch Chairman, Hon. Barr Odiete Arierhie, welcomed the Worldwide President and his entourage and wished everyone a happy new year. He assured members of enough food and drinks and was confident that everyone present would have a memorable day.
The Worldwide President appreciated the Branch Chairman and the entire executive members for putting up an elaborate dinner to commence the year. He urged members to support the branch at all times. He further enumerated some of the achievements of his administration in his one year in office. The climax of the dinner was the surprise presentation of cash support of a hundred thousand Naira each to two committed Alumni members of the branch; Miss Loveth Ogbebor and Miss Ifeoma Nwanfoh to support their businesses.

The end-of-year activities were rapped off on the third day with a thanksgiving service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, situated at Okpe Road Sapele where members gave praises to God for ushering them into the New Year in good health and sound mind. The Reverend of the church, Rev. A. T Ajagbe rejoiced with them and prayed to God to prosper the members of the Sapele Main Branch and the Ambrose Alli University Alumni Association in general.
