AS the race for elective positions hots up ahead of primary elections that will throw up candidates for the 2015 general elections, Hon. Uche Uraih has urged aspirants to engage in actions that will not negate democratic norms.

Uriah who spoke today, Tuesday, September 23, 2014 in Asaba, Delta State while playing host to an aspirant for House of Representatives, Hon. Paul Adingupu emphasized that aspirants for elective positions should take their aspirations as political games.

“I know Hon. Adingupu, his desire is to represent us at the a Federal House of Representatives, the collateral value of his representing us is enormous, we pray that he gets the position,” Hon. Uraih said, adding, “no aspirant should use because of his aspiration to endanger our democracy.”

“We should show brotherly love in the contest and engage in actions that will make our democracy the best in the world,” he emphasized.

Hon. Adingupu, disclosed that his visit to Hon. Uraih was to intimate him of his plans to represent the Aniocha/Oshimili constituency in the House of Representatives.

According to him, “I am here to see a brother, in 1997, we won elections into the Delta State House of Assembly, today, I am seeking for his support as I am contesting to represent our people, the people of Oshimili and Aniocha in the Federal House of Representatives.”

The aspirant emphasized that his decision to contest for the elective position was not about him but, about the people, asserting, “I am going to represent you, give you a voice and serve your interest at the national level.”

Hon. Victor Okotcha at the occasion, said, “this is the right place to be, Hon. Uraih is a leader in Aniocha/Oshimili constituency and commands respect in the state, it is where he asks us to go that we will go, who he asks us to support, we shall support.”
