Show Solidarity For Okowa By Collecting PVC, One Delta Urges Prospective Voters

Ahead of February general elections, a political pressure group, One Delta For Good Governance, Unity and Justice (ODFGGUJ) has urged Deltans to show their solidarity for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate by collecting the permanent voters cards.

The group in a statement signed by its coordinator, Hon. Nnamdi Ezeeh and the publicity secretary, Hon. Victor Odili thanked Deltans for their massive support for Senator Okowa gubernatorial interests and disclosed that they have embarked on door to door awareness campaign for Deltans to collect their pvc.

According to the group, there was no doubt that Senator Okowa would emerge as the next Governor of Delta State but, “it is important that he wins with a wide margin for the world to know the strength of the PDP in our dear state.”

While noting that the ODFGGUJ has membership in Nigeria and other parts of the world due to the emergence of Senator Okowa as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, the organization stated that the acceptability of Senator Okowa goes beyond party affiliations.

“We have embarked on door to door mobilization of our people for Senator Okowa not just to win but to win with a wide margin, we are mobilizing every man and woman, all the youths who are above eighteen years of age to collect their voters cards,” the said, adding, “it is sad when our Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan said, more than 700, 000 voters cards are yet to be collected, if that is the case, then we have serious work to do before the end of January.”

They added, “for Okowa to emerge as our Governor and for us to give the winning vote to President Goodluck Jonathan, every Deltan who has registered for the election must cast his or her votes, their votes must be counted because this is an important election.”

“One Delta is a grassroots political group with over 260, 000 dedicated members across the state, we are working for Senator Ifeanyi Okowa to be the next governor of Delta State, all our members have collected their cards and are mobilizing other Deltans to do so,” the group reiterated in the statement.
